I ll start straight with the tutorial:

1. Go to Pokémon Heart Gold Pokémon Soul Silver English Translation

2. Download the translation patch for your game, either HG or SS.

3. Patch it either with localized or katakana patch.

4. Play as long as you wish with NO freeze, crash or black screen.

Alternatively, you can also patch the game with Rudolph s newest patch, which is based on the same anti-piracy-patch-engine like the upper translation patch. So, in case you do not want to have a patched and translated ROM, you can also use his patch to prevent Freeze, Crash and Black Screen problems with your game, since they share the same patch-engine. don t know but after i patched my save was killed, maybe i just failed or can it be because of the patch. But i don t care then i will start over again just arrived in violet city so it isn t that bad, but i will wait for a basic translation patch first.

THIS DOES NOT FIX THE CRASH AFTER SPEAKING TO PROF OAK not ELM.

It fixes the saving crash, but once you walk out of the house that PROF OAK is at your game will freeze.

It does work, i can save now on m3 real, but after receiving my running shoes, i entered the old man s house again, left, and entered another one and it gave me a black screen with music in the background, so the all that s fixed is the saving part on m3 real

Yeah the game still freeze / I was saving then my character was walking in the sitting position that he stays when I save the game then the game froze

I tried it and it didn t work. It shows the black screen but I faintly hear the theme of New Bark Town though. sighs Just thought I would provide my two cents on this patch.

Didn t work here neither, I got the same error everyone is getting - black screen after making a character with a quiet New Bark Town music in the background.

I was running No GBA as well when this happened and I m like dang. Gamefreak knew what they were doing with this and they did it with style.

This patch fixed my saving issue on my M3 Perfect. I wasn t experiencing any freezes either until a moment ago. I ve been playing for an hour and a half and after I raised my Caterpie a level it froze when I took 3 steps through the grass. Is this the kind of freezing everyone else is getting.

I ve noticed that all M3 users, no matter which one M3 Perfect, M3 Real, etc are having saving issues. This patch fixes that for us. For those wondering, here is how I got it running on my M3 Perfect: 4xDMA, Force R/W, Trim Rom.

Yeah I made it like you 4xDMA. Force R/W but not trim rom I ve also tested in 1XDMA with Force R/W anyway the game wont load if we don t use Force R/W. But thanks to this patch I m able to save even if I still have some freeze times to times

With other patch, game froze 3 times within 26 minutes. With this one, I ve been playing 30 minutes with no freeze. Using TTDS.

when i use the patched rom with the menu patcher, the menu-patched roms are 0 bytes.

I m using a G6 Real and as far as I know G6 Real and M3 Real are almost exactly the same. I used the patch and the original. nds-file from -snip- and following the instructions carefully but the save-problem won t go away.

I don t know wtf is wrong with mine memory card/roms/patches and why it seems to work for many other but this problem is killing me. _

I tried the fixed rom too but it won t work either, I tried it earlier and recently I made my own, it became exactly the same.

yeah. I was perfectly playing but hte games just stops in some places but the touch screen keeps responding but everytime I try to sabe it just stays like that with the music going on and on never ending.

I got g6ds real and it wont save with this patch ether so theres nothing wrong with yours

On the other hand, I also have a M3 Perfect but I don t use it to connect to the PC anymore since the G6 is much better, easier and faster to use. I already have a good bunch of stuff full om my M3 Perfect so I only play on it but never connect it to the PC. I could try with my M3 but nah, I really want HG/SS to work on my G6.

I never had a problem with saving on my R4 w/YSMenu, but it did freeze once in my first hour.

EDIT: Nevermind, still has the black screen when entering places or leaving battles..

How do you keep your save. and what FC are you using.

Before the patch I couldn t even save, game would hang each time I tried. Now thanks to the patch I can play the game for the most part. My only issue is that the game keeps locking up at segments, animation and input stops but music keeps playing.

I m going to see if the Save State/Load State functions can bypass this glitch any if at all I remember with an old emulator some time back that would do the same thing at random, you had to use save states and then load them to rekick the game back into gearNot sure how well it will work with this, I ll report findings when I have them. .

It works for 80 fine on my R4, I can save but sometimes it freezes or I get a balck screen without the patch. I now gonna trying to play it with the patched version.

Using AKAIO 1.4.1 on AK 2.1. No good. Oh well, someone will get it done the right way eventually. Won t be surprised if it happens within the next 2-3 days.

but when i patch my version i lose my save game i cant save any more.

I could connect to the WIFI when I was registering my email for the GTS on the main menu of the game. Maybe WIFI isn t working for trade or battle caus the game isn t released yet

I ve tested both patches this one and the LEAF icon one and it seems that the leaf icon works best with the english translation patch both on my M3 Simply and M3 Real

Before any type of patch, the game is pretty un-playable eg cant save after patch, you can save no problem but random freezes do occur, mostly when im entering/leaving an area and when a trainer/wild pokemon is about to battle me.

I haven t thoroughly tested this patch yet, but after applying it I am able to save on my M3 Real, which was impossible before. I also didn t encounter a freeze after five minutes of going in-and-out of the door of my house, but that s hardly conclusive.

Reporting in and the patch didn t work i m using an Acecard 2i with the 1.4 pass and it still randomly crashes

Before any other people start whining about how their game won t work and start spouting help pls. There is, at current, NO FULLY WORKING PATCH At best, the patches will allow you to save and somewhat reduce black screens/game lock-ups. Don t worry though, GameFreak/Nintendo will be done laughing at us within the next week or two. It s usually not long before someone makes a solid fix.

Yea lol i save after every battle and every two screen changes but after i beat the 3rd gym it seemed to crash more / I can t wait for the patch

Wow, still no stable patch, eh. Lol, since this is such a awesome game, I m surprised there isn t a perfected one yet.

Is there any anti-freeze/blackscreen patch that works for iTouchDS2. I ve tried every single one I ve seen on these boards and it still freezes constantly for me. after a battle, after saving, switching areas or it just flat out starts a new game and i m left to try to make a new one, only for it to just freeze up as i m saving. The freezing started intensifying after I got the 3rd badge btw.

I ve been playing this on my M3 Ds Real and it has made a significant improvement like no black screens at all, but it still randomly locks up and it has only been getting worse have been playing for roughly 4 hours and its freezing almost every min :S. Atm, I can t go past Goldenrod as it freezes everytime I try to go through the roadhouse/gate thing to national park.

why does this not work with my g6 ds real. if it works with m3 real then it should work on my g6. I can never get it to save.

I added a new way of fixing this, but this provides that you will have to patch the games with a translation patch.

i have an m3i zero too and it always crashed after going through a door/saving/opening the pokemon menu/opening the pokegear etc. for the third time. now i ve beaten the fourth gym leader an it already shows a black screen after choosing continue game

I dont know about that. If Raqib s patch include Arm7 swap, then ya WiFi wont work. By the way, using only Rudolph s patch doesnt effect wifi.

Strange. Even with rudolph s patch.

Dont use the arm7 swap method, as WiFi wont work and the save wont be recognized with a clean rom..

If you just want to play without WiFi then go ahead and do the arm7 swap

No, M3 Team fixed the SAVE issue, but not the freeze/black screen/crash issue, see changelog.

But I told them in the M3i forums and the support answered that they are currently looking into that issue and will probably fix it in their next firmware update.

Using this patch, I have just defeated the 3rd Gym Whitney and the game has suddenly started freezing every three screen-transitions ie. door, door, save - will freeze after saving. Or battle, save, door - will freeze after going through the door. This seems to be a common issue; I ve seen a few people mentioning that the game gets unplayable after Whitney due to all the freezing. And it really has become unplayable.

Hopefully when a working patch is finally released, it will work stacked on top of this one I just discovered that this fix makes. savs incompatible with non- fixed roms, and I really don t want to lose all my progress so far.

I have no idea why but when that happened when I tried playing it on my computer but as soon as I put it on my acekard it worked fine I think it has to do something with the DLL patching that flashcarts have

I got this on my Cyclo Ds, and even with the rudolf patch it still freezes now and then when I exit a door, I had my save file back from a patched and semi translated rom, so idk if its because of that or what, it froze on me while i exited the ruins of alph, and also exiting the sprout tower

Hey guys. Good Greetings.. I downloaded my hgss roms from a site called emuparadise. But the patch doesn t work on it. It says it wants an original Pokemon HG or SS nds file. Can someone tell me what does that mean.

you can t say the website you downloaded them. just say you get the rom some place on internet, it is against the rules sharing websites with that content.

you don t need patches to make the rom works.. unless you are using an ancient card like a passme method

you probably are trying to use a rom that was already patched, i tried to download this patches and i dont know how you did it but every link seems dead

anyways, check if the patch provide a MD5 checksum code.. and search for that rom, or try on the internet for a clean unpatched rom

also, note this is probably for a japanese rom this seems part of the translation project that happened before pokemon HG SS had english releases which are obsolete now.
